The Opportunity: EY's Financial Services practice provides a broad range of integrated services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants. We work extensively with governments and regulators around the world.
The team operates across EMEIA and Globally to provide deep regulatory expertise, delivering the latest in regulatory thinking to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to senior leadership covering the regulatory waterfront across both conduct and prudential.
- Design or review engagements including:
- Developing long-term views of the strategic direction of regulation
- Changing regulation (e.g., Duty of Care, Insurance pricing)
- Innovative business models and fit with regulation
- Developing regulatory models overseas
- Approach to climate change, ESG
- Senior manager appointments
- Approaches to authorisation
- Rapid communications for clients on changes to regulation
- Articulate EY findings, conclusions, and recommendations in writing or verbally.
- Manage engagement planning and operations on a day-to-day basis.
- Work on client site, managing teams where required.
- Analyse emerging issues and develop EY propositions on agreed topics.
- Support the proposals process for new client opportunities.
- Develop client relationships through networking and engagement activities.
- Work effectively as a team member, providing support and updating senior members on progress.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Knowledge and experience of regulation across the regulatory waterfront.
- Outstanding communication skills and commercial awareness.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to work in a client-facing and consulting role.
- Opportunity to travel in this role (subject to current Covid restrictions).
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:
- Significant experience in regulatory affairs or regulatory consulting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client presentations.
- Ability to prioritise and challenge.
