The UK has a deep history as a vibrant Post Production location, attracting filmmakers from all over the world to finish their films. Our UK Film Post Production team works on all the Netflix features that Post in the UK, as well as providing support for films shot locally that will eventually Post in other locations. This is a dynamic position for an experienced candidate to demonstrate excellence and ensure the highest quality of post production across a diverse slate.
This role will join the current Post Manager and Coordinators covering our films, expanding the team as our slate grows. In this position, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams working on films - Creative Content, Physical Production, Production Finance, VFX, and Legal - as well as work closely alongside other leads within the Film Org and other content types to strengthen Netflix alignment. You will also manage at the show level, with a slate of projects and healthy oversight into the slates of others to help identify trends, opportunities, and issues. You will maintain vendor and editorial crew relations, review budgets, schedules, and have the ability to troubleshoot technical and workflow issues.
The role involves being both assertive and diplomatic in interacting with a team that is dynamic and diverse while remaining strongly aligned to our Netflix culture. A demonstrable long-term background in film post-production and the wider UK film community is required to be considered for this role. If you're someone with a film production background, this would also be desirable. The role will require flexibility for some regional travel within the UK, as well as occasional travel globally.
The Ideal candidate will have a strong reputation of working with filmmakers and the UK post production community with a genuine passion to continue working at show level. They will be able to excel operating autonomously whilst closely aligning with our wider team.
This will be an 18-month contract initially to support the team.
