Airfoam Industries Ltd is a market leader in the manufacturing, sales, and distribution of a variety of sustainable and budget-friendly EPS products for the construction, civil works, forest, and food and medical packaging industries. As we continue to expand our operations and serve more customers across the region, we are looking to add a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to our team. This key leadership role will help drive operational excellence, support our production teams, and ensure we continue to meet the high standards our customers rely on.

Responsibilities
  1. Plant Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, planning, scheduling, inventory control, procurement, maintenance, and distribution.
  2. Leadership & Supervision: Provide direction to production employees, ensuring safe, efficient operations that align with company standards and customer expectations.
  3. Safety & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with ESA, OHSA, provincial safety regulations, and other environmental, health, and safety legislation.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Lead the optimization of plant processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency, in line with operational KPIs.
  5. Policy & Procedure Development: Develop and maintain plant policies and procedures to reflect current operational requirements.
  6. Employee Training & Development: Provide coaching and training to employees, ensuring they maintain appropriate skill sets for their roles.
  7. Project Support & Management: Support the development and execution of plant projects, including overseeing timelines and objectives.
  8. Financial Oversight: Work with Finance to develop and manage budgets, control costs, and review financial forecasts and capital expenditures.
  9. Committee Requirements: Participate as a member of the corporate QMS committee and OH&S Steering Committee, providing operational leadership.
  10. Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties and special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a relevant Engineering field (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical Engineering).
  2. 5+ years of experience in an Engineering/Operations and/or Plant Management role.
  3. Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, change management, and human resources management.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  5. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  6. Strong knowledge of relevant provincial safety legislation and regulations.
  7. Proactive problem solver with strategic thinking capabilities.
  8. Knowledge of employment standards.
  9. 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate is an asset.
