The Royal Caribbean Group’s (Onboarding) Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Onboarding reporting to the Director of Marine Operations.

Position is onsite and based in Weybridge, UK.

Position Summary:

The Manager, Onboarding is responsible for overseeing the execution and continuous improvement of marine crew onboarding processes, documentation management, and other marine crew readiness services to deliver seamless experiences across global operations. This role ensures efficient resource utilization, operational effectiveness, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the position focuses on developing a capable team to meet organizational objectives while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and support a team of onboarding specialists fostering a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven environment.
  2. Oversee core marine crew onboarding processes, including documentation verification, medical clearances, and compliance checks, to ensure timely and smooth onboarding for all crew members.
  3. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members to build skills and support career development, ensuring adaptability to changing business needs.
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams such as Scheduling, Human Resources, and Marine Operations to align crew movement plans, deployment needs, and workforce strategies.
  5. Leverage data and analytics to monitor onboarding performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  6. Handle escalated cases requiring complex decision-making and ensure effective resolution to support marine crew readiness and deployment.
  7. Contribute to the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and service standards that improve the marine crew onboarding experience and drive organizational success.
  8. Act as a liaison with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on onboarding priorities and foster strong cross-departmental relationships.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  2. 7+ years of experience in onboarding, crew management, or operations, preferably within the cruise or maritime industry.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
  4. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
