Manager, Finance Business Partner, Real Time Payments

Overview:
As countries around the world are seeking to develop modern real-time payment ("RTP") systems, Mastercard is partnering with customers to deliver a suite of solutions to meet their infrastructure, applications and services needs. Building from our acquisitions in the United Kingdom (Vocalink) and the Nordics (Mastercard Payment Services), Mastercard provides a leading infrastructure ecosystem which supports real-time payment providers, banks, and their customers around the world.

This position, which reports to the Director, Real Time Payments, will partner with the business and engineering teams to drive forward and support the business strategy, ensure sound financial controls, lead the finance teams, and maximize return on investment. Being able to analyze data, think strategically, and provide leadership are key attributes for success, as is the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders located across the globe.

About the Role:

1. Work cross-functionally with business partners to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and target setting for the Real Time Payments (RTP) Global business programs.
2. Partner with regional business/product teams and global functions (tech, treasury, product, engineering, compliance, legal and regulatory) to optimize revenue opportunities for new and existing customer deals.
3. Ensure a sound, well-controlled financial environment.
4. Work closely with the RTP programs to identify, measure and deliver expense efficiency opportunities and drive process improvements.
5. Produce and present product financials and analysis of business performance including tracking of progress against budget and business cases.
6. Partner and engage with other Mastercard finance functions including Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Product & Engineering and regional finance teams.
7. Liaise with external customers and advisers.

2. Experience in leading a team that is geographically dispersed and to be part of a geographically diverse team.
3. Fluency in English. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
4. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
5. Demonstrated history of thoughtful risk taking, business acumen, thought leadership, commitment, and strong sense of urgency.
6. Executive presence, ability to influence others; demonstrated intellectual horsepower.
7. Ability to both think strategically and provide an executive-level view while also being able to dive into the details.
8. Travel - Occasional UK/Overseas travel.

Experience/Education:

1. Degree in finance/accounting preferred.
2. Solid accounting skills, excellent finance skills including modelling and scenario analysis, budget, planning and forecast experience, experience in risk management and a solid understanding of the business or demonstrated learning agility are required. Operational experience very desirable.
3. Experience in working with Oracle and Hyperion are helpful.
4. International experience is a plus as well as geographic mobility.
