About this opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Colleague Conduct team within the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Controls Office. Through forward-thinking initiatives and investments, our strategy will help us broaden our offering to new and existing clients, becoming the best bank for business.

We’re looking for a manager to provide insightful, high-quality analysis and evaluation of the control environment in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Reporting customer and colleague Risk & Control MI for Business & Commercial Banking.
  2. Presenting at committees and forums on risk and control items using Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) & Power BI reporting.
  3. Using Data and Analytics to continually improve risk and control reporting.
  4. Coordinate and prepare documentation, while also gathering and summarising data and information, to produce and maintain standardised risk and control process maps.

  6. Assist in the management of actions resulting from operational risk events and breaches.
  7. Identify issues and then suggest and implement improvements to the control environment.

What you’ll need:

  1. A recent background in either a risk and control role or as a Relationship Manager within UK financial services.
  2. A strong understanding of risk and control self-assessment fields.
  3. Proven experience of creating and analysing Reporting Management Information using Power BI.
  4. A confident and experienced presenter to senior colleagues and key stakeholders.
  5. A keen curiosity about automation to help drive improvements to the control environment.

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
