Overview:

The Manager, Compliance is responsible for leading the creation, implementation and consistent application of HR and People policies and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations across Europe and the Middle East. They will play a key role in ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and industry standards that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in policy development and compliance management within a consulting or professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities for the assigned People Partner include:

  • Oversee and manage HR compliance matters across Europe and the Middle East.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions where the company operates to mitigate legal and operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of legislative changes to ensure timely monitoring of changes that impact internal people/HR policies.
  • Translate draft regulations into human centric policies in consultation with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Partner with Global & EMEA Operations teams to update collateral with existing policies/local handbooks to reflect legislative changes.
  • Ensure that back- end operations are reflected and executed to reflect policy changes.
  • Inform and guide training practices to ensure compliance awareness across EMEA region and across the Global People Organization.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with local HR teams to address region-specific compliance issues.
  • Provide expert advice on complex compliance matters to senior leadership and HR partners.
  • Implement compliance reporting systems and metrics, working in close collaboration with the ER lead and People Business Partners to identify areas for policy education and learning interventions.
  • Liaise with legal counsel, internal and external, on compliance-related matters as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and simplify people-centric policies.
  • Collaborate with the ER team lead in North America to bring synergies in the look and feel of A&M people policies and their application.
  • Stay informed on market trends and best in practice approaches across similar organizations.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Law, Business, or related field.
  • Prior experience in HR compliance management.
  • Professional certifications in HR or compliance (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CCEP, LLP) are highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of international labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and policies in a multinational environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams.
