Job description

The Manageris responsible for providing key support with merger and acquisition(“M&A”) projects across the business and JTC globally. This role willinclude involvement from early due diligence stages through to full integrationactivities. The role will partner with the broader HR team and business toensure consistent, commercial and compliant approaches are taken with all M&Aactivities helping to ensure the success of such projects. This role will alsoprovide broader support to the Compensation and Benefits team helping JTC toremain competitive with industry standards and in line with legislation. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS

  • Support the Senior Manager with the full HR due diligence process of the potential acquisition which will include reviewing employee benefit information, current compensation structures and general practices, policies and procedures.
  • Research employment requirements in new jurisdictions for JTC.
  • Manage the collation and organisation of all acquisition data.
  • Assist with benefit harmonisation proposals to ensure fairness for JTC existing and incoming employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation as required, specifically those relating to benefits, compensation and employment rights.
  • Work with the Benefits and Payroll teams to set up new or amended schemes/ payrolls as required.
  • Support with any required workforce planning to include identifying critical employees, potential redundancy situations and key talent plans.
  • Help with the communication to the incoming employees about the transaction, including the impact on their role and compensation package and ensure a consistent approach is used.
  • Support with any employee queries or concerns in relation to the transaction.
  • Work with HR operations to produce contractual documentation and assisting with the employee onboarding processes.
  • Work with the Learning and Development team to plan induction for incoming employees.
  • Partner alongside other departments within JTC and the HR team to help deliver a successful integration programme for the incoming employees, this will involve consideration of both cultural and working practice integration.
  • Post legal day 1, work with the HR Business Partners to continue to ensure a smooth transition for the employees.

COMPENSATION & REWARD

  • Provide assistance to the broader Compensation and Reward team on a range of compensation and reward activities.
  • Help with annual compensation and benefit renewal processes as required.
  • Undertake assigned project work as may be required.

GENERAL HR

  • Actively contribute and be a key member of a multi-jurisdictional HR team building effective working relationships to ensure procedures are accurately followed, allowing for continuity of service during busy periods or times of absence.
  • Uphold the professional standards expected of an HR practitioner and act as a role model of excellence with all clients, internally and externally.
  • Maintain the highest standard of confidentiality and security in terms of employee data and business information and consider the impact of GDPR on all activities undertaken.
  • Consistently demonstrate JTC core values and guiding principles
    Any other duties as deemed necessary.

  • Strong ethics and discretion in the management of sensitive confidential information.
