Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of our retained, exclusive client based just outside of Kinross for a permanent Management Accountant - Manufacturing to join their growing team. This excellent opportunity with an established manufacturing business offers an excellent salary up to £50,000 + 32 days annual leave, 6% matched pension and a 36-hour week with a half day on a Friday. Please note this is an office-based role.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will complete a variety of business-critical responsibilities with a focus on manufacturing accounting, including financial analysis, cost & stock accounting and management accounting. You will complete various financial reports focused on a variety of areas, including KPIs, manufacturing overheads, bills of materials, purchase prices, inventory etc. You will oversee stock reporting & reconciliations, investigate variances & business partner with internal teams to resolve any issues. You will work as part of the senior finance team to complete monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and support with the annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting process. You will perform cash-flow forecasting & fx accounting, be involved with various process & system improvement projects and complete financial analysis to aid decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant, however individuals who are qualified by experience or actively studying with relevant experience will also be considered. You will be a proactive individual with a strong eye for detail and excellent skills in financial analysis. Experience in manufacturing or cost / stock accounting is advantageous but not essential as training in niche areas will be provided.
