What you’ll do

To give you an idea what to expect, you’ll be:

  • Producing timely and accurate management accounts and variance analysis for internal and group reporting.
  • Preparing monthly KPI reporting and providing commentary.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations for all areas of responsibility.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date awareness and understanding of applicable UK accounting standards, applying them as required.
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis as requested.
  • Assisting in year-end preparation and supporting external audits.
  • Preparing quarterly ONS and FCA returns.
  • Maintaining strong version control of all key deliverables.
  • Improving departmental monthly report that each department understands how its contribution impacts on the overall company strategy and goals.
  • Offering professional input on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
Who you are
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a management accountant role.
  • Ability to work and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, bonus if prior experience with PowerBI.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts.
  • Understanding of finance regulations and legislation, knowledge of business strategy and methodology.
  • Able to easily work from home with a quiet space and good internet connection.
