My client, a well-known business in the Woking area are currently looking to recruit for a permanent commercially focus Management Accountant.

Hours: 40 hours hours a week - Monday - Friday (Hybrid working) - Flexible start & finish time (8:00-16:00 -30 minute lunch etc)

Job duties:

Take charge of the month-end accounting process for the Landscape Construction and Gritting divisions
Analyse sales and costs alongside relevant management teams to verify accurate coding, accruals, and explanations for any variances.
Explain financial data to non-financial managers effectively
Handle the preparation and processing of period-end journals.
Continuously assess accounting practices and processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Regularly complete reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
Participate in the regular forecasting and annual budget process, ensuring adherence to the agreed timetable and providing clear instructions on budget assumptions and methodology.
Support Finance Business Partners in producing variance analysis for management reporting packs related to forecast and budget variances.
Coordinate variance analysis and commentary for monthly management accounts with the Operational senior management team and Finance Business Partners.
