Your new company

This not-for-profit organisation's purpose is to deliver excellent services to its local community. As such, they are looking for the right candidate to join them as a Management Accountant to help them achieve this ambition. The organisation is evolving and would like to become increasingly dynamic and innovative. The role of the finance team is critical in driving the organisation forward, and this is an exciting opportunity to join them on an initial temporary contract basis. The Management Accountant will work in a hybrid working environment over a 35-hour working week for an initial period of 4 months+.

Your new role

The Management Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for end-to-end management accounting and service reviews. You will be responsible for budget reporting and cost management, partnering with service managers to understand their budgets and forecasting requirements. You will provide commentary and analysis on business performance and look to add value in streamlining processes to improve the quality of MI. The Management Accountant will provide business partnering services and bridge the gap between operations and finance. You will provide analysis on key management information and add insight in addition to wider month-end duties and activities.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in Management Accounting environments working with a variety of stakeholders. You will have strong Excel and reporting skills with the ability to build relationships with financial and non-financial stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

You will be paid an hourly rate of £27.00 - £30.00 per hour over a 35-hour working week with on-site parking and a hybrid environment. There are opportunities across the team for extension or permanent work after an initial trial period.
