Management Accountant

We're looking for a Management Accountant to take on a key role within our finance team. As a leader of the finance transactional team, you'll have the opportunity to drive improvements and enhance departmental performance.

This role offers a mix of month-end and reporting responsibilities, alongside the chance to mentor and develop staff. You'll also play a hands-on role in introducing new technologies, helping to shape a more digitally-focused and efficient workplace. Key Responsibilities

1. Performing the month-end procedures
2. Variance Analysis along with commentary
3. Responsible for Purchase & Sales Ledgers
4. Bank and account reconciliations
5. Cash flow analysis
6. Management of central contracts store
7. Payment processing and new payment implementation
8. VAT Returns and liaising with HMRC
9. Audit support when required

Requirements
Experience

• 3 years' within finance (required)
• 3 years' team management

Skills and Competencies

• Good IT Skills (Excel - Essential, Financial Force - Desirable)
• Capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Proactive manner, ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within the organisation
• Highly organised
• Strong communicator
• Good analytical and reporting skills

Qualifications

• QBE or Recognised professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA)
