Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Negotiable)

Hours: Monday to Friday

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established dealer group in the Basingstoke area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an already experienced finance team consisting of 2 other Management Accountants and 4 Finance Assistants, reporting to a Finance Director.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of financial accounting and proficiency in various accounting software.

Responsibilities of Management Accountant:

1. Preparing monthly management accounts
2. Submitting management accounts
3. Preparation and review of debtors/creditors
4. Liaising with brand Directors in relation to the preparation of management accounts
5. Supporting with preparation of monthly reports and profit comparison to forecasts
6. Post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
7. Assisting/Supporting other members of the finance team

Requirements:

1. Background in transactional finance including purchase ledger, month end / management accounts.
2. Previous experience using Kerridge/Keyloop would be an advantage
3. Part Qualified in CIMA/ACCA or AAT, or QBE
4. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in the motor trade, although not essential
5. Detail oriented
