Job description

Are you a qualified or part qualified accountant working in an accounting practice but looking for a change? Or are you a QBE Management accountant with five years of industry experience but wanting to make the move into practice? Then I have the role for you.

I am working with a top 10 Accounting Firm who are urgently looking for an Outsourcing Senior. The Outsourcing team delivers comprehensive finance function and management accounting services to a diverse portfolio of multinational clients, with a focus on the technology and pharmaceutical sectors.

As An Outsourcing Senior, You Will
  1. Serve as a controller for multiple clients, spearheading management accounting reporting and ensuring seamless finance function operations.
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication with key stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate closely with and supervise Outsourcing Assistants to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  4. Report to managers, directors, and partners while playing a pivotal role in achieving the team's strategic objectives.

This position offers excellent opportunities for client liaison development and professional growth. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the Newcastle office at least three days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a diverse client portfolio.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
  3. Oversee Outsourcing Assistants in:
    1. Bank reconciliations.
    2. Sales and purchase ledger activities.
    3. Accurate posting of invoices to General Ledger and AP/AR subledgers.
    4. Timely execution of payments to vendors and creditors.
  4. Foster client relationships, uphold quality standards, and deliver exceptional service.
  5. Identify and address international implications (e.g., VAT, taxation, foreign currency).
