Job description

We have an immediate vacancy for a Qualified or a Part Qualified Accountant, based in Edinburgh to manage their office and finance function and reporting to the Finance Director.

It is essential to have a minimum of 3 years prior management accounting experience, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.

You will be responsible for all aspects of financial management and provide accurate financial reporting and analysis to track performance and influence business decisions.

Responsibilities
  1. Managing the day-to-day finance function on site
  2. Preparation of monthly reports (P&L, Balance Sheet)
  3. Monthly reports on project progress, Cashflow and debtors
  4. Payroll supervision & reporting
  5. Accounts Payable: management of supplier payments process
  6. Debtors management of monthly sales process & reporting
  7. Banking reconciliations & cash flow management
  8. Monthly Journals Nominal reconciliations & Control accounts (Debtors & Creditors)
Requirements
  1. Part qualified/fully qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA
  2. Advanced MS office skills with the ability to analyse & manipulate large data sets
  3. Demonstrate a strong commercial awareness
  4. Excellent communication skills & the ability to interact with diverse project groups
  5. Be proficient in the use of ERP financial systems
  6. Keen eye for detail & good organisational skills
  7. Strong analytical and interpretive skills, ability to deliver financial data in a user friendly and relevant manner
