Management Accountant

A group of businesses in Carlisle are experiencing significant growth, and as such have created a new Management Accountant role for one of their key divisions.

This is an ideal opportunity for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier or finalist to gain hands-on exposure across the entire finance spectrum to complement their studies. This could be an excellent springboard opportunity as this role is expected to grow into a more senior position in the short to medium term. Therefore, my client is looking to appoint a career-driven and ambitious individual with aspirations to progress within their role.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Management Accountant responsibilities will include:

1. Preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. VAT returns
4. Support with budget preparation
5. Assist with year-end accounting requirements
6. Involvement in the upcoming implementation of a new ERP system across the Group
7. Be a key player in driving continuous improvements to include improving existing processes in finance

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will already be studying CIMA or ACCA, or be approaching full AAT completion. A full study package will be available as well as the FC being a dedicated mentor to enable career progression. Strong IT skills are required with knowledge of mainstream or bespoke accounting/ERP systems.
