Maintenance Technician Resource Recovery Facility

Job Title: Maintenance Technicians

We are looking for 2 Maintenance Technicians to join LondoneEnergy to be based at our new site that has opened at the EcoPark. Your role will be to carry out the repairs and maintenance work on all mechanical and electrical equipment, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant and equipment.

LondonEnergy Ltd operates the second largest waste management companies in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London's waste every year. We have a dedicated team of people working across North London making a difference to the environment and the local community from the work we do. By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough energy from waste to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centre's.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the complete overhaul, maintenance and repair of any mechanical/electrical equipment at any of LondonEnergy Limited's sites, including the lubrication of such equipment.
2. This may involve, pipe fitting, plumbing and, subject to suitable training, disconnect and reconnect motors, solenoids and coils up to 415V to aid in the completion of work and test and replace fuses (like for like) up to 415V.
3. Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs without supervision during the normal working day and when on callout duty.
4. Maintaining in good order, a comprehensive range of Technician's tools.
5. Participating in the training of staff and undertaking training necessary for completing the role fully.
6. Comprehensively completing appropriate documents as deemed necessary by the RRF Maintenance Lead.
7. Inspecting and supervising work carried out by Contractors when directed by the Lead.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday

The nature of the job is such that many plant failures necessitate immediate action and this may require working outside normal working hours on occasion. Such failures require the safest, fastest and most effective repair possible; hence a commitment to working to such hours either on a callout basis or overtime is essential. The nature of the Plant is such that Technicians will have to work in confined spaces and carry out work at height.

Requirements:

Direct experience in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of the following plant is desirable:

1. Pumps
2. Fans
3. Effluent Treatment plants (ETP)
4. Compressors
5. Fire Protection systems.
6. SCARDA BMS
7. D365 maintenance system
8. The ability to digitally control work orders.
