Job description

Title: Maintenance Technician (4PM-4AM)
Location: Hampshire, IL
Pay: $25-35 an hour

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Job Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, pumps
  • Troubleshoot electrical motors, timers, transformers, controls
  • Repair AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, use testing equipment
  • Work with PLCs and CMMS systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, equipment modifications
  • Assist in root cause analysis
  • Ensure operational safety devices, guards
  • Execute efficient, cost-effective equipment repairs
  • Manage inventory levels
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance program improvement
  • Accurate documentation of maintenance activities
  • Effective communication with team and internal customers
  • Demonstrate plant safety knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Formal vocational training or equivalent job experience in plant maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and PLCs
  • Work in challenging conditions
  • Experience in pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, utilities, alignment, rigging
  • TPM and Lean Environment experience
  • Familiarity with steel processing equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of forklifts and mobile equipment
