Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturer working on a double days (6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm) shift pattern.

Candidates should be Electrically biased and ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications, 17th /18th Edition wiring regulations, together with sound knowledge of PLC's (Ideally Siemens S7).

Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team that covers all aspects of Plant maintenance, the Maintenance Engineer will be required to provide effective maintenance support within a high volume manufacturing arena where continuous production is paramount.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provides technical expertise in the maintenance, modification and installation of all equipment and machinery.
  2. Takes part in all electrical related components to include various types of sensors, controls (PLC), robots, motors, drives, air handling units and power.
  3. Ensuring that all machinery is kept in a functional and safe condition.
  4. Providing a rapid response to breakdowns and repair accordingly.
  5. Perform daily and weekly maintenance planned activities.
  6. Ensure planned preventive maintenance of all machinery is carried out.
  7. Contribute to TPM process.
  8. Support new installations required to improve performance.
