An established industry player in food production is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team in the Portadown/Armagh area. This role involves ensuring the efficiency of production equipment through planned and reactive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. Job description

Maintenance Technician job with a successful local food producer in the Portadown/ Armagh area.


We are recruiting a Maintenance Technician with our client who produce a range of quality fresh foods from their production plant near Portadown/ Armagh.


Suitable candidates will need maintenance experience in a production/ FMCG setting. We are open to either electrical OR mechanical bias; however, a good level of multi-skilled knowledge is required.


Rotating shifts early & lates, Monday to Friday: early 5.30am-2.30pm and lates 2.30pm-11.30pm in addition to periods of day shift over the year, Saturdays on a rota.


The Role
  1. Planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
  2. Fault finding and troubleshooting technical issues.
  3. Refurbishment, modification and installation work.
  4. Work as part of a team to minimise downtime and improve performance.
  5. Assist in organising stores and parts.
  6. Record maintenance logs as required.

What we are looking for
  1. Qualified Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  2. Maintenance experience in a production, food or FMCG setting.
  3. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  4. Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
  5. Can work well in a team and have a pro-active approach to solve problems.
