Your future role

As a Maintenance Technical Support Engineer, you will be involved in providing maintenance technical support as well as supporting Services tenders & projects in the Engineering area.

Role Specific Requirements
  1. ETCS National Integration Facility (ENIF) Maintenance: Undertake both periodic and reactive fault response maintenance works on all Alstom supplied ETCS equipment located at the ENIF Laboratory Hitchin.
  2. ENIF Operations: Operation of the ETCS System to complete the (ETO) Test Operator and (ETA) Test Assistant roles as defined by the relevant work instructions.
We'll look to you for:
  1. Supply engineering resource/skills to support tenders and projects.
  2. Collaborate with Services Engineering and Platforms, to improve the Services portfolio of products and services.
  3. Participate actively in the Services Engineering network.
  4. Assure the technical support to the projects.
  5. Optimise the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan.
  6. Support cost reduction actions, with sourcing and industrial.
  7. Detect, define and implement the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
  8. Propose innovative solutions and develop and implement R&D programs and new technologies in the maintenance projects.
  9. Analyse the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
  10. Propose actions to optimise Maintenance plans and LCC.
  11. Search for improvement actions in maintenance operations, performing engineering interface activities with Operations Engineers (depot support).
  12. Promote the use of latest maintenance technics and R&D developments (CBM, RCM, Lean).
  13. Analyse failure criticality studies and use RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimise the maintenance requirements, tasks and intervals.
  14. Analyse and integrate data coming from Operations (Return on Experience).
  15. Manage interface with other Product Lines' Metiers.
  16. Improve Services Engineering tools & processes.
