An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to join their team in Crawley. This role focuses on delivering essential building services maintenance and repairs across various NHS properties. You will ensure compliance with health and safety standards while undertaking routine and reactive maintenance tasks. The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance in line with all processes/procedures and policies that meets organisational standards/requirements including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy/HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda) and SFG20. Undertake routine planned and reactive maintenance service as instructed by the Team Leader, ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times. To also support the work that is included in minor work. Undertake routine repairs or minor works including joinery, painting and decoration, general building works, ground works or general plumbing. To maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises ensuring that they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Support the Projects/Construction team and Team Leader in delivering minor capital works to NHS premises.

We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative-Fabric. This will be to join our team based in Crawley - Crawley Hospital. The starting salary for this role is from £28,000 (depending on experience) plus on call allowance. This is a permanent, full time position working 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. This role is based at Crawley hospital but is also covering local surrounding areas.
