Job Description
Purpose:
Oversee the daily operation of the Maintenance Department. Goal is no downtime of overall operation. Train and certify regular and temporary employees on all maintenance equipment and procedures. Maintain the appropriate records and reports required for daily plant operation and daily maintenance works. Monitor employee job performance. Involve in policy making for continued process operation, improvement, and cost reduction. Ensure an orderly and safe workplace. Monitor and manage department labor and operation cost.
Essential Functions - Job Duties:
Management Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the maintenance department, including training, assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering or equivalent; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and speak effectively in groups.
Physical Demands: The employee is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
Work Environment: The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
