Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery in our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety standards and ensuring all work is completed in line with approved safe systems of work. You will oversee the implementation of risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all tasks are carried out in a safe and controlled manner.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Maintenance Management role and be well-versed in health & safety, environmental, and quality standards. Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, and experience reading technical drawings are essential. Flexibility for overtime, both planned and at short notice, is also necessary.

You will work closely with production teams to provide work schedules for the maintenance staff, ensuring the smooth running of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Regular machinery checks will be essential, and you will be expected to quickly diagnose and resolve any breakdowns, providing analysis and recommendations to management.

Managing maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts will be a crucial aspect of your role, ensuring the rapid repair of machinery. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring maintenance costs, liaising with service providers for components and services, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, including regular fire checks and tests. You will also maintain accurate records of all maintenance work using computerised systems, including daily reports for your team.
