Maintenance Manager - Fleet and Infrastructure

Location: Pershore

Salary: Up to £51,500

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm

Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in fleet and infrastructure maintenance? We are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to oversee operations at a key facility, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, managing site maintenance, and leading a dedicated team.

The Role

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the maintenance department. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will oversee preventative maintenance programs, staff training, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective budget management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all maintenance operations comply with health & safety regulations and employees are fully trained.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of plant, equipment, and company vehicles, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Manage workforce levels within budgetary constraints while maintaining efficiency and safety.
  • Implement and maintain ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 quality management systems.
  • Develop and control operating budgets, ensuring cost-effective site operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
  • Lead and motivate a team, fostering positive employee relations and addressing performance issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks and reports.

Person Specification

  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent; tertiary qualifications in process or engineering disciplines are desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HGV and heavy plant operations, inspections, and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role, including people management, within a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance, and optimizing efficiencies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams effectively.
