Salary: £50000 - £60000 per annum
Hours of work: Basic 37.5 hours
Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:15, Friday 07:30 - 12:00

Job Description
About The Job
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth function of the entire site. Working directly with the Engineering Manager, you will elevate the way we maintain all elements of the site working to a standardised rota. Support various departments, ensuring all necessary spares and critical spares are readily available, eliminating any potential downtime or distractions to the manufacturing process.

You will have a mechanical or electrical bias with relevant certificates to facilitate fault finding to support your team.

What will you be doing?
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of experienced Maintenance Engineers to achieve the maintenance requirements for the site.
  2. Ensure all machines are serviced in line with the annual service calendar with all spares and critical items logged.
  3. Maintain all OEM service contracts and renew when required.
  4. Liaise effectively with external suppliers and contractors to ensure best service and pricing opportunities are maintained for all spares and repairs required.
  5. Continuously improve TPM check points for all plant and machinery minimizing breakdowns to improve machine capability.
  6. Through your team, maintain breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and H&S tickets via the company portal ensuring machine uptime is maximized.
  7. Maintain and report specified maintenance KPIs per month.
  8. Work closely with the engineering manager to deliver projects, such as new asset installs which may require off-site visits for scope of work or training.
  9. Manage all contractors to support the maintenance of the building and facilities.
  10. Create an individual development plan for each team member supporting their progression and retention to the business monitored monthly in scheduled 1-2-1's.
  11. Ensure 5S housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard and that all relevant company Health and Safety and Environmental requirements are fully adhered to.
  12. Provide support and guidance to mechanical and electrical installations along with fault finding.
  13. Generate detailed plans to support the onboarding or relocation of existing plant equipment communicating with production to support the company manufacturing requirements.
  14. Be a proactive and flexible team member, training in other disciplines where required.

For this role, we are looking for an individual who is passionate to learn and contribute to the site's success. Have the ability to update reports via Microsoft Excel & Word for traceability and audit requirements. Ideally, you will have previously worked in a manufacturing industry; however, training will be provided to support the relevant duties.
