The position reports to the Production Director. The purpose of the role is to plan, implement and deliver items deemed of a mechanical/technical nature on behalf of the company. This includes any training activities in order to meet company targets for the retention of growth and profitability, and to contribute as a senior manager on all aspects of best practice on behalf of the business.
Essential Requirements - Maintenance Manager
Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
City & Guilds 18th Edition certification.
Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in the electrical industry.
Own tools and a clean driving license.
Ability to liaise and work with different departments.
Manage & co-ordinate contractors.
Advantageous Requirements
Knowledge and experience of Plc's.
Knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements.
Experience of working within a production environment.
ATEX registered.
Salary: Up to £50k
Hours: 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Where overtime is necessary first 4 hours at time & half, and double time after that.
Holidays: 30 days (Inc bank holidays)
A number of days do need to be kept back for Christmas shutdown.

Responsibilities
Creating maintenance schedules and delegating tasks to team members.
Creating permits and hot permits to work for both internal and external technicians.
Supervising maintenance team and ensuring they follow safe work and ISO practices.
Arranging and/or performing on-site repairs.
Scheduling approved contractors for major repairs as required and ensuring safe work and ISO procedure are adhered.
Discussing maintenance concerns with the production director and communicating these to the Maintenance team.
Responding and arranging emergency maintenance needs.
Developing maintenance and negotiating vendor contracts.
Controlling and monitoring inventory.
Arranging, controlling and monitoring external inspections.
Controlling and monitoring internal inspections, including but not limited to:
Coordinating minor works performed by outside approved contractors and ensuring H&S/ISO procedures are adhered.
Keeping all training and H&S/ISO records relevant and up-to-date as required by current legislation and/or company policy.
To manage and ensure all relevant documents within the departmental registry are updated as required.
Quality of Service
Surveillance and reporting of technical practices and systems.
Ensure all documentation is legal, up to date and accurate.
Liaise with other departments.
Training
Partial induction training on all new employees.
Oversee all current training requirements.
Assess all employees to determine need for further training.
Implement ISO14001 / ISO50001 training with Managers.
General
Ensure that all products and equipment are stored effectively, sensibly and safely.
Ensure all areas are clean and tidy.
To always act as a member of the company management team, bringing to the attention of any employees any infringement of rule or of conduct detrimental to the best interest of the company.
