JOB: Maintenance Engineer

LOCATION: Stoke-On-Trent

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer within the Energy sector. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Stoke-On-Trent on a permanent basis.

Attributes of the Maintenance Engineer:

1. Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering / Manufacturing
2. Experience working in Food Manufacture ideally
3. A confident Electrical and Mechanical skillset
4. A solid understanding of commercial electrical and plumbing work
5. An Electrical Apprenticeship / NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualification would also be beneficial
6. Excellent organisational and communication skills
7. Proven ability to work effectively in a team
8. A flexible and proactive attitude towards work

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

1. Being proactive in ensuring the smooth running of all equipment and building maintenance
2. PPM and breakdown avoidance
3. Ensuring documentation is maintained, site reviews are managed and Health & Safety standards are met
4. Overseeing the maintenance budget and stock control
5. Ensuring efficiency and a high standard of work is met throughout the site
6. Working with others and being an excellent team player
