Your Role

  1. Take ownership of both proactive and reactive maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
  2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults swiftly and deliver effective solutions.
  3. Perform routine servicing and detailed inspections of plant equipment.
  4. Partner with production teams to minimise downtime and boost efficiency.
  5. Ensure equipment is thoroughly tested before returning it to production.
  6. Keep meticulous records of maintenance activities via our site CMMS.
  7. Play a key role in installing and commissioning new equipment.
  8. Work on a variety of automation systems, including Siemens, Rockwell - Allen Bradley, GE, Mitsubishi, and Omron control systems.
  9. Conduct system backups, SCADA, HMI & PLC modifications, integrations, and upgrades.
  10. Manage system controls and I/O's across site instrumentation.
  11. Troubleshoot and repair inverters and 3-phase motors.
  12. Support tank farm instrumentation and other critical plant systems.

Essential Skills & Experience

  1. Recognised Apprenticeship (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  2. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of diagnosing faults and implementing engineering solutions.
  4. Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulics, and process control systems.
  5. Awareness of health and safety standards in engineering environments.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  1. 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
  2. HNC or equivalent in Engineering.
  3. Electrical/Mechanical multiskilling training and experience.
  4. Experience with predictive maintenance strategies.
  5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
