Job description

Maintenance Engineer
Telford
£48,344 + overtime
4on/4off Days and nights (2days/2nights four off)

My Client has been manufacturing in the area for years and has a factory packed to the rafters full of automated machinery. The factory is split into two departments which include the process side and packaging side. Due to two retirements, they are looking to add two maintenance engineers to the team. There are progression routes to get to team leader/supervisor and Maintenance Manager. The current Engineering Manager has been with the company for six years and worked his way up. Some of the machines you will be working on include: pumps, valves, heat exchangers, mixers, conveyors, robots (ABB/Kawasaki), sealers, box machines, packaging machines and much more. Any experience on these would be advantageous. They will need at least level 2 in an electrical qualification but would look at either bias as a maintenance engineer.

Experience required for the maintenance engineer:
  1. 5 years + Exp. working as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - would look at either bias
  2. Knowledge of pumps, pneumatics, conveyors, valves, packaging machines etc is advantageous
  3. Level 2/3 in electrical qualification is a must
  4. Ideally worked in a fast-paced production environment
  5. Attitude is key for this role, loads of development and progression opportunities for the maintenance engineer
  6. Would look at maintenance engineers from any background including ex-forces
