Maintenance Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer on permanent nights to join a leading manufacturing organisation known worldwide. This is an opportunity to join an already established maintenance team in a company that prides itself on a friendly working environment. Established for over 50 years, the company continues to grow and offer stability, development, and training.

The Maintenance Engineer role is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Burnley / Preston.

The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work the following shift: Permanent Nights: Monday to Thursday 22:00pm till 07:30am.

Key Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

1. Apprentice trained, holding formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience with CNC Machinery and Conventional machines.
3. Experienced with: Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Gearboxes, Conveyor systems.
4. Slight Electrical ability would be an advantage.
5. Welding and Fabrication skills would be an advantage.
6. Basic Machining experience.
7. Experience within a FMCG / Manufacturing environment.

Key Duties for the Maintenance Engineer:

1. Perform planned and preventative maintenance.
2. Support your team and functions throughout the plant.
3. Liaise with coordinator to establish requirements.
4. Assess each job and the need for spare parts.
5. Engage in self-development activities.
6. Maintain high-quality mechanical machinery, repairs, and maintenance to machinery and site.
