The role – Maintenance Engineer:

• Must be able to work on own and as part of a team carrying out routine and reactive repair ensuring all deliverable targets are met or exceeded
• Responsible for Electrical / Mechanical maintenance on a day to day base on plant equipment and building equipment,
• To be able to complete electrical installations to the latest regulations within a fast moving factory environment
• Perform electrical & mechanical maintenance
• Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing plant equipment.
• Implement, document and report routine maintenance schedules for both plant and machinery using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• To assist all trades within the facility and complete mechanical repairs when required. 
• Completing reactive work orders within time parameters.
• Proactive problem-solving ability, ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios.

What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:

• Previous experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives and their associated motors or pumps- ESSENTIAL 
• PLC fault-finding to act as ‘go-to’ for all electrical controls matters
• In depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics- ESSENTIAL 
• 17th or 18th Edition Qualification- ESSENTIAL
• Qualified to City & Guilds (Level 3) in an electrical / mechanical engineering discipline or similar 
• Ideally apprentice trained with experience from an automated, fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of high temperature ovens and blow moulders- DESIRABLE
• Strong practical maintenance background, working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.

• Carry out repairs on all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Dealing with both Mechanical & Electrical issues
• Carry out PPM schedule as planned
• Carry out installations and movement of machines and equipment
• Continuous improvement throughout the plant
• Working to agreed deadlines 
• Root cause analysis & identifying ways to stop the issue reoccurring
• Liaising with Operators to understand issues

What our client is looking for in a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Experience within the food manufacturing industry - ESSENTIAL
• Candidates must be Multi Skilled
• Must be able to read and work from technical diagrams - ESSENTIAL
• City and Guilds level 3 minimum in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent - ESSENTIAL
• Experience with PLC's - ESSENTIAL
