Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new permanent opportunity with a well-known steel processing company based in the heart of West Bromwich? If yes, we want to hear from you!

Annual Salary: £42,000 to £46,000 includes shift allowance with plenty of overtime available

Weekly Shifts: Mon to Thurs - 6am - 4pm / Mon to Thurs - 8pm - 6am rotating

The role:

You will be tasked to carry out preventative maintenance tasks as well as be reactive with regard to plant breakdowns and repairs. All actions need to be carried out in a safe and professional manner, reporting to supervisors and filling out daily shift reports and other necessary paperwork.

General Scope of Work:

1. Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
2. Responsible for all PPM
3. General Welding and Fabrication
4. Oxygen/acetylene burning
5. Read from Engineering drawings
6. Bench fitting
7. Forklift/cherry picker/OHC operation - training given

Experience/Qualifications Required:

1. Completed Apprenticeship/time served would be preferred.
2. NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance
3. 17th Edition or 18th Edition Electrical an advantage
