Maintenance Engineer

Location: Rugby, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Leicester, Hinckley, Coventry

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining and servicing high-speed automated machinery, equipment, and robotic systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency while adhering to safety and performance standards.

Key skills required for the Maintenance Engineer vacancy:

1. Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on automated production machinery, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
3. Work closely with the engineering and production teams to identify and implement improvements for increased efficiency and reliability.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate maintenance records.
5. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues to develop long-term solutions.
6. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and automation systems.
7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical support to other departments as needed.

The suitable candidate for Maintenance Engineer will need to possess the following skills and experience:

1. Apprentice-trained electrical or mechanical engineer, with a minimum Level 3 qualification.
2. Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within a fast-paced, automated, or robotics-based environment.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical fault finding, PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
4. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to breakdowns.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
