Job description

Maintenance Engineer.
Liverpool.
Up to £50,000 per annum DOE.
Shift Pattern: 4-on, 4-off (2 days, 2 nights).


We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer who’s ready to bring energy, initiative, and problem-solving skills to our clients well established engineering team. You’ll be key to ensuring the manufacturing plant operates efficiently, safely, and reliably whilst delivering both proactive maintenance and swift responses to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and breakdown repairs across site equipment including mixers, hot plates, conveyors, and flow wrappers.
  • Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, and automation faults.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of engineering projects.
  • Monitor and improve site performance KPIs such as OEE and downtime.
  • Champion safe working practices and promote engineering excellence across the team.


What We’re Looking For:

  • A team player with excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • HNC (or equivalent) in an electrical, automation, or multi-skilled engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Motivated, flexible, and passionate about continuous improvement.
