Maintenance Engineer

A massive opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join a global company based in Kidderminster. With an annual turnover of £3.5 billion, my client is the world market leader in its sector. They have over 200 plants worldwide in over 30 different countries, including 16 in the UK.

My client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their 4 on / 4 off continental shift at one of their biggest UK sites. Loaded with benefits and a great salary package, if this job sounds appealing to you, please read on.

Maintenance Engineer Duties:

1. 4 on / 4 off Continental Shift.
2. Install and/or maintain plant machinery.
3. Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system.
4. Fault finding and repairing any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems.
5. Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition.
6. Program all Siemens & other PLC equipment (Desirable).
7. Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

1. Electrical apprentice trained.
2. HNC or equivalent in electrical engineering.
3. 17th / 18th edition qualified.
4. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment; ideally heavy manufacturing.
5. Siemens S7 knowledge.
6. Excellent fault-finding abilities.
7. Pneumatics.
