TXM Recruit are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer in Northampton. It is working on a large distribution centre for a leading Facilities Management company on one of their retail contracts.

The job will cover general weekly, monthly and quarterly checks, planned and unplanned maintenance duties as well as general fabric checks around the facility.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
• Working hours: 6am to 2.30pm // 9.30am – 6pm (rotate weekly)
• On Call: 1 in 3 weeks on call maximum. – This is for emergencies only.

Your duties will include:

• Weekly, monthly and quarterly checks including Legionella, Fire alarms, Emergency doors, Emergency lights & Loading Bay doors and gates
• Yard inspections
• Resets to fire alarms and sprinklers if they are activated
• General maintenance around the facility, basic electrics like sockets and switches, basic plumbing like changing pipes and fixing taps, minor decorating.
• You will ensure that the site is kept safe and clean and accurate records are kept up to date, as well as maintaining a high standard of work by following safe working practices.

Requirements:

• Full UK License – 6 points max.
• Basic Facilities / Maintenance experience
• A recognized apprenticeship or qualifications (City and Guilds, BTEC, NVQ etc)
