Maintenance Engineer

We're hiring for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hyde.
In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks across the site, ensuring equipment runs efficiently and downtime is minimised.

2. Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm (with some flexibility available)

What will you be doing as a Maintenance Engineer?

1. Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site
2. Servicing and repairing equipment such as overhead cranes, screw conveyors, fillers, metal detectors, and single-head weighers
3. Operating basic tools such as drills and grinders to carry out maintenance tasks
4. Attending management meetings to provide updates and contribute to maintenance planning
5. Responding to breakdowns and prioritising repairs to reduce downtime
6. Supporting the wider team in maintaining a safe and efficient production environment

What do you need?

1. Previous experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role
2. Electrical certification (minimum 16th Edition)
3. Full UK driving licence
4. Previous experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment (desirable)
