We're recruiting for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing business, working just three 12-hour day shifts per week. Whether you're mechanically biased (60/40) or more electrically biased (up to 80/20), we'd love to hear from you.
The Maintenance Engineering role:
- Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery (no programming required, just diagnostics)
- Responding quickly to breakdowns and keeping downtime to a minimum
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site
- Working proactively to ensure the smooth running of production
The Successful Maintenance Engineer:
- A strong engineering background within a manufacturing or production environment
- A genuinely multiskilled approach - mechanical bias with solid electrical knowledge, or vice versa
- Confident with PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar)
- A Maintenance engineer who can diagnose issues within Inverters, drives and mechanical systems.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment
- Relevant engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship, HNC, City & Guilds or similar)
