Maintenance Engineer

gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Blackburn.

Performance Objectives
  1. Perform day-to-day delivery of maintenance tasks, specifically reactive/preventative/predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance, and conduct performance improvement initiatives.
  2. Electrical fault finding, PPM work, safety checks, and inspections.
  3. Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Supervisor and Maintenance Team including the compilation of end of shift reports, root cause analysis, fault logging, and data entry.
  4. Identify the root cause of faults/breakdowns and prioritise corrective actions.
  5. Monitor and review day-to-day equipment performance and improve outputs.
  6. Take the lead in optimisation initiatives and play an integral role in continuous improvement.
Person Specification
  1. Time served apprenticeship with an electrical bias.
  2. Experience of working as part of an effective maintenance team.
  3. Always puts Health and Safety first.
  4. Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
  5. Good mechanical engineering grounding.
  6. First-hand experience of maintaining equipment in a fast-paced production environment with a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality.
  8. Able to work autonomously, with a 'right first time' mentality.
  9. Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy.
