Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias)

£47,320 + over time 4 on 4 off shift pattern with AMAZING BENEFITS!

Are you a time served mechanical or electrical maintenance engineer or apprentice trained looking for a new opportunity? Working for a worldwide well-known brand in North Birmingham, the company manufactures niche products in a heavy industrial setting!

Reporting to the engineering manager your duties will include;

  1. Complete permits to work and risk assessments, assessing all risks involved in the work to be undertaken
  2. Ensure safe systems of work are applied, adhered to and followed out consistently
  3. Support and achieve Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and Plant Improvement initiatives, Installation projects, statutory inspections, factory services and any other duties required to ensure plant safety, performance, improvement and operation
  4. Experience in heavy motorised and hydraulic plant operations with experience of rolling mills/extractions moulding or press shop would be highly regarded
  5. Supervision of external contractors and service providers
  6. Interact with all stakeholders at any level within the business on a daily basis to resolve equipment & site related issues
  7. Be a point of contact for internal customers to resolve plant, equipment and safety issues
  8. Provide technical support
  9. Interact with external bodies, suppliers and contractors to achieve the above
  10. Ensure critical spares are available and stock levels are maintained on consumption
  11. Ensure a high standard of workmanship is achieved

The salary on offer is £47,320 + overtime, enhanced pension, access to occupational health and physiotherapist.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be working continental shifts, 4 on 4 off 2 x 12 hour days (6am - 6pm) and 2 x 12-hour nights (6pm - 6am).
Please note this is a permanent role that will be weekly paid.
