About the Company:
We are a leading manufacturer known for our commitment to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. As we continue to grow, we're looking to strengthen our engineering team with the addition of a skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

The Role:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in keeping our production equipment and systems running at optimal performance. You will carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment across our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine mechanical maintenance and fault-finding on production machinery.
2. Carry out breakdown repairs to minimize downtime.
3. Participate in PPM schedules and continuously look for improvement opportunities.
4. Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and gearboxes.
5. Support and collaborate with other engineering and production teams.
6. Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations.

What We're Looking For:

1. Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
3. Strong mechanical skills with a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
4. Ability to read technical drawings and fault-find effectively.
5. A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
6. Flexibility to work shifts and respond to breakdowns as required.

Desirable (But Not Essential):

1. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques.
2. Basic electrical knowledge or a dual-skilled background.
