Job description

Our client, based in the Chester/Deeside area, is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to work on DAYS Monday to Friday, with a salary paying between £40,000-45,000 per annum for the right person. Hours of work are 8.30am-4.30pm, and 90% of the work is based in their workshop with occasional site visits for installations and service work.

They are looking for an Electrically qualified Maintenance Electrician to carry out repair and refurbishment work on a range of Processing equipment that is used in the manufacturing sector. This would suit an Electrical Engineer who has either worked in Maintenance within manufacturing or an Electrical Engineer who is willing to learn about their machines. Our client would also consider someone recently out of their time/apprenticeship who they could train up.

The Role:
  1. Maintenance/refurbishment on processing machinery
  2. Fault-finding
  3. Work on Electrical Control Panels
  4. Deal with customers on repair and safety issues
  5. Follow engineering drawings
  6. Work on own initiative to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  7. Accurately complete documentation
  8. Liaise with suppliers on technical issues
Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Fully conversant with electrical/mechanical engineering procedures and disciplines
  2. Experience of 3-Phase Electric Motors
  3. Electrical Panels
  4. Understand Electrical Drawings
  5. Excellent communicator
  6. Flexible approach
  7. Full clean UK Driving Licence
