Maintenance Electrician

A fantastic new opportunity for an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading specialist manufacturer. This is an opportunity to join an established organisation who have 50+ years within the industry. This is an award-winning organisation who hold a very strong track record.

This is an opportunity for a driven, motivated Engineer who is confident and holds strong electrical abilities, an opportunity to join an already established maintenance team.

The Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from the following locations: Rochdale / Bolton / Manchester / Oldham.

Shift in place: Days - Monday to Friday. 7:30am till 4pm - Early finish on a Friday.

Call out system in place - you will be required to work a 1 in 5 call out system.

Duties and requirements the Maintenance Electrician will hold and be responsible for:

1. Previous experience within a similar role is essential to this role.
2. Strong fault-finding abilities.
3. Proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
4. Proven experience with: AC & DC Drives, Installation experience, Wire testing, Panel Building, Instrumentation.
5. Experienced with Siemens PLC's - strong fault-finding abilities - Programming would be at an advantage.
6. Planned preventive maintenance.
7. Carry out routine servicing and inspection on all production machinery.
8. Carry out essential testing of equipment and systems.
9. Ideally holding experience with ATEX equipment.
10. Ideally, we are looking for a 70/30 split as there will be some mechanical requirements.
11. We are looking for an Apprentice trained maintenance electrician.
12. Holding a Formal qualification in Electrical engineering - City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3.
13. 17th / 18th IEE Wiring regulations.
14. City & Guilds 2391 Testing.
15. UK Driving licence required / Travel to alternative sites required - all site located within 5 miles of one another.
16. Must be happy to work the required call out system. Working 1 in 5 calls - this is split between engineers.
