Maintenance Craftsperson Electrical SSL

Simply Serve Ltd provides specialist Estates & Facilities, Healthcare Sciences, and support services at Yeovil District Hospital. We are committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability, working towards ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 accreditation.

This role also includes a Recruitment and Retention payment of £3500 per annum in addition to the annual salary.

Main duties of the job

As a Maintenance Craftsperson Electrician, you will:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of engineering systems, including fire alarms, electrical installations, emergency generators, heating & ventilation systems, pumps, and motors.
• Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring hospital facilities run efficiently and safely.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to meet service deadlines.
• Collaborate with ward staff and other departments, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with Trust & Directorate procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotas for emergency maintenance support.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ L3 and experience in the industry, together with the required minimum Qualifications of A Level 3 in electrical engineering (E).
• Or an alternative recognised equivalent qualification. (E)
• Driving license. (E)

Experience

• To have relevant experience in the trade (E).
• To have worked alongside other trades (D)

£26,530 to £29,114 a year RRP of 3500 per annum
