Maintenance Controller - Fleet
Solihull

Hybrid Working (after Probation)
£36,000 + Bonus

Our client is one of the UK's most respected fleet management companies. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a maintenance controller to join them in the Solihull area. The role will suit someone with a background as a vehicle technician who is seeking to transition into an office environment.

Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Controller - Fleet
  1. Managing authorisation requests promptly and efficiently, validating work is necessary and correct pricing and labour times are applied, challenging vendors appropriately and ensuring highly accurate input of all appropriate information into client systems.
  2. Controlling downtime effectively, conducting quality work progression activity, and updating systems clearly and accurately.
  3. Engaging with customers appropriately in relation to authorisation activities and determining the most cost-effective solutions, ensuring customers are updated appropriately on work progress.

Qualifications & Experience - Maintenance Controller - Fleet
  1. Technical vehicle related qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrable, detailed knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics, preferably extending to include HGV and ancillary equipment fitted to vehicles.
  3. Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications - primarily Outlook and Excel.
  4. Qualifications or good knowledge around vehicle compliance requirements and full appreciation of the necessity of vehicles and equipment being compliant.
  5. Experience in a workshop environment or similar.
  6. Experience working within a team in an office environment.
