We have refining and chemical operations in the UK, we operate the UK’s biggest private pipeline network and we retain a non-operated share in a number of fields in the North Sea. About you
  • Hold a minimum of 4 GCSEs, grades A-C/9-4 (achieved or predicted), including Maths, English Language and Science
  • Be over the age of 18 on commencement of employment
  • Have a willingness to work outside (potentially at height), in appropriate safety equipment (including breathing apparatus)

What you will do

We are currently recruiting for Apprenticeship opportunities across three trades: mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation, to join our team at our integrated Fawley Refinery and Chemical Complex in Hampshire. You will join a team committed to producing the energy and chemical products that are essential to modern life, economic development, and improved standards of living, while protecting our people, the environment and the well-being of communities where we operate.

Training
  • Beginning in September 2025
  • Full time with allocated days with our training provider, Cogent Skills and college providers
The Roles: (You can choose your preference on application)

1. Mechanical
You would work in our workshops and out on site, installing pumps, compressors, turbines and machine components, with precise tolerances and strong reliability to ensure the safe & productive operations.

2. Electrical
Power is the key to everything at Fawley. You will develop skills that range from working with low-voltage alarm systems to 11,000-volt motors.

3. Instrumentation and Control
A wide range of instruments are used to measure and control all the processes that take place on site. You will develop the ability to test, maintain, repair and install instruments.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidates will be made a conditional offer of employment, which includes a satisfactory criminal records disclosure, satisfactory employment references over five years (where applicable), verification of qualifications, completion of a pre-employment medical, and the legal right to work on the agreed commencement date.
