Job description

Are you an experienced primary school Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) seeking a new and exciting opportunity for immediate start in Bristol (BS11)?

Do you hold the HLTA qualification or have a similar qualification?

Perhaps you don't hold the HLTA qualification but are experienced in working as a HLTA?

Would you like the opportunity to work in a mainstream primary school, to utilise your skills and experience in assisting the progress of students?

Start ASAP
£95 - £125 per day, depending on experience
Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
Term time only
Bristol - BS11

About the HLTA role
  1. Lead and cover lessons from Reception to Year 6
  2. Production of lesson plans and resources to support groups/classes of children
  3. Working effectively with individual pupils, small groups, and whole classes
  4. Providing support for learning and social and emotional development of children
  5. Record progress and achievement in lessons and activities, to provide constructive feedback on pupil progress/achievement
  6. Acting as a role model, promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
  7. Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others
What we need from you
  1. Maths and English GCSE grade A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent
  2. Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
  3. Experience of working with young people, particularly those with ASD diagnosis
  4. Confident to converse with parents, students, and members of the public
  5. Good ICT skills
