Job description

Position: Machinist/Fitter

Location: Burton-On-Trent

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 16:00pm / Friday 07:30am – 13:00pm

Salary: £25k - £40k (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proficient in interpreting and working from technical drawings for part manufacturing
  2. Skilled in machine fitting and mechanical assembly processes
  3. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities applied across various mechanical tasks
  4. Experienced in the installation of machinery at customer sites
  5. Proven mechanical engineering experience essential for the role
  6. Capable of carrying out routine servicing and repairs on industrial machinery
  7. Committed to consistently following health and safety regulations and procedures
  8. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing environment required
  9. Hands-on experience with manual machinery including turning, milling, grinding, and lathes
  10. Full UK driving licence required
  11. Additional experience in CNC milling, welding/fabrication, and forklift truck operation is advantageous but not essential
